Imagine taking the world’s finest macadamia nut liqueur, (insert Brookie’s Mac. here, a delicious roasted macadamia liqueur) and filling whisky casks with the buttery-smooth-golden-nectar to season the oak, before maturing single malt whisky.

The result is Mac. Liqueur Cask Whisky, with a milk chocolate, cereal sweetness and buttery macadamia palate. We’ve previously seen various fortified wine with a rich sugariness to season casks before, but the influence of liqueur seasoning is a rarity.

A blend of tradition and innovation, Mac. Liqueur Cask Whisky represents a fusion of premium whisky craftsmanship and the rich flavours of Brookie’s Macadamia and Wattle Seed Liqueur.

At the heart of Mac. Liqueur Cask Whisky lies their signature Brookie’s Mac. Liqueur, a blend infused with flavours of roasted macadamia and wattle-seed, but that’s just the beginning. This decadent nutty blend is then aged in ex-bourbon casks, previously holding bourbons from esteemed distilleries like Heaven Hill and Buffalo Trace.

From there, they produce an aged liqueur called Barrel Aged Mac., (if you’ve tried it, its exceptional), extra lashings of toasted coconut and vanilla characters are infused into the aged liqueur from these barrels.

The journey doesn’t end with this barrel aged liqueur. Eddie takes it a step further by using these seasoned liqueur casks to finish our mature single malt whisky, Imparting a distinctive character and unparalleled depth to the final creation.

“We’re macadamia farmers first and foremost with a passion for rainforest regeneration. Creating our Mac. Liqueur Cask has brought feelings of nostalgia from growing up with the rich aromas of roasted macadamias wafting through the kitchen. We thought we would have some fun and see what happens when maturing our macadamia liqueur into casks would do and now, we have something just brilliant!”.
