The West Hotel Sydney is ushering in the Spring season with an enchanting floral transformation in its renowned Solander Bar and Dining.
Kicking off on Saturday 30 September, and running through to Melbourne Cup and just beyond; Solander will undergo a floral transformation, inspired by the beauty of spring.
Happening every Saturday from 2pm – 4pm until Saturday 14 October the Sakura Tea Party will take place in Solander. Inspired by the beautiful Sakura (cherry blossom) trees that are in bloom around Sydney, Solander Dining and Bar will be taken over by beautiful pink florals.
Priced at $65 per person, the Sakura Tea Party includes Head Chef Joel Robinson’s unique take on the classic High Tea. Indulge in a tiered selection of both sweet and savoury snacks such as poached prawn fennel and spiced mayo buns; saffron and buffalo mozzarella arancini; salted caramel mini eclairs and assorted macarons. The Sakura Tea Party includes a welcome sakura-themed cocktail drink to complement these delights. For $20 extra, guests can also enjoy bottomless house wine, sparkling and beer.
On the 21 October, the Sakura Tea Party will transform into an Afternoon Tea Party. At $65 per person, the Afternoon Tea Party includes a tiered selection of pastries, savoury bites, and a Solander signature cocktail. Guests are also able to add on bottomless house wine, sparkling and beer for $20. The Afternoon Tea Party will run until 11 November.
The restaurant and bar will celebrate the 2023 Melbourne Cup with a special three-course menu on Tuesday 7 November. Priced at $130 per person, the package includes either a glass of bubbles or beer and an Australian cheese board on arrival; four shared starters and your choice from one of Solander Dining and Bar’s delicious mains. The race will be broadcast in Solander Dining and Bar on large TV screens. There will be some exciting prizes to be won, including an overnight stay with breakfast at West Hotel Sydney for 2 people, $100 dining credit at Solander Dining and Bar, and additional prizes for best dressed.
