Are you looking for the perfect spot to spend your lazy Sunday mornings in Bondi? Definitely check out Makaveli – a breakfast destination that combines great vibes, soulful R&B music, and great dishes. As an enthusiastic foodie and coffee lover, I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Makaveli.

Walking up to Makaveli, I could already sense the excitement in the air. People were queuing up for their dose of caffeine, which is always a good sign for any coffee lover. The exterior had a chic yet laid-back ambience that perfectly reflected Bondi’s coastal charm.

As I entered, the soothing beats of old-school R&B music greeted me, instantly lifting my mood and setting the tone for a pleasant breakfast experience. The interior was cozy and trendy, with warm hues that made it a perfect place to unwind and enjoy a lazy Sunday morning.

The service at Makaveli was nothing short of excellent. The team was friendly, attentive, and down to earth, making me feel right at home.

Now, let’s dive into the best part – the food and drinks at Makaveli. I opted for a Foccacia slice with roasted zucchini, mozzarella, tomato, and oregano sauce, topped with wild rocket. The flavours were perfectly balanced, and the combination of fresh ingredients was delicious.

To complement my brekkie, I couldn’t resist trying their Fresh Pressed Orange Juice, which was a refreshing burst of citrusy goodness. If you’re a fan of cocktails, you must try their Bloody Mary Cocktail – a classic with a twist that packs a flavourful punch.

The Collagen Coffee caught my eye on the specials board, a unique creation made with fellow locals from Bondi Protein and Will & Co Coffee. The Collagen provided an extra health boost with collagen’s benefits promoting skin hydration, with a touch of vanilla flavour mixed with a long black coffee. For some reason it had a bitter taste to it at the start, but, I enjoyed the flavour halfway through. Perhaps my tastebuds were a little perplexed at the start.

My visit to Makaveli was an absolute delight, and I can confidently say that it’s a must-visit spot in Bondi, especially for lazy Sunday breakfasts. The lively atmosphere, the soulful R&B tunes, and the fresh food and drinks all came together to create a cruisey experience.

As the day transitions into the evening, Makaveli’s ambience becomes even more cool, with warm lighting and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. The combination of their small plates offerings and the diverse drinks menu ensures there’s something to suit every palate. See below for some options I would definitely return for.
