Coinciding with World Mental Health Month, and in the lead-up to World Mental Health Day, KAAIAA, the groundbreaking wellness movement founded by Leah Simmons, invites Sydneysiders to participate in a rejuvenating sunrise KAAIAA class at the Royal Botanic Gardens on Sunday 8 October 2023.

Presented in partnership with Lululemon and plant-based nutrition brand, Nuzest, Australia’s oldest botanic garden that overlooks the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House will provide the stunning backdrop for a healthy dose of festivities that will leave participants feeling mentally and physically stronger, less stressed, and with sharper focus and clarity.

Leah Simmons, whose workouts have built a cult following through the flagship KAAIAA Bondi studio, pop-up live events and online sessions during COVID, will host the live event this October to support mental health at a time when we need it most.

A few years ago, Simmons reached a pivotal ‘breaking point’ that ultimately led her to create the revolutionary wellness and fitness program, KAAIAA.

KAAIAA is the world’s first workout to combine four proven modalities (breath work, body work, meditation and mindset training) to achieve four clear outcomes: better FOCUS, STRENGTH, BALANCE and CONNECTION. Through music, movement, stillness and strength, participants can maximise the effectiveness of their fitness regime from the inside out, with minimal time commitment.

As a Pilates and Kundalini yoga teacher, personal trainer, and former DJ, she has talked openly about the “Instagram comparison hole” and its effect on wellbeing.

Simmons says; “More and more of us are aware of mental health, yet so many of us still aren’t getting the right support. Since COVID people are still experiencing social isolation. Loneliness is our new epidemic. This World Mental Health Day it was important for me to bring people together to reconnect with nature, body and breath, in this stunning harbourside oasis.”

Simmons said the event is open to everyone of all fitness levels including those wanting to experience a KAAIAA workout for the first time, through to seasoned practitioners. Tickets are available now from $33. Adults and children from age 12 are welcome.

Door prizes from Lululemon, Nuzest and KAAIAA will be up for grabs on the day.
