The Streets of Barangaroo is set to become a carnival of colour and culture this September thanks to a partnership with Sydney Fringe Festival. From 1-30 September, The Streets of Barangaroo will come alive with a series of collaborative events, performances and retailer activations centred around the concept of ritual.
As part of Fringe Festival’s Paint The Town Pink campaign splashes of pink will envelop The Streets of Barangaroo with retailers taking part in the celebrations offering pink themed drinks and dishes and other special offerings throughout September including:
- NOLA: NOLA is offering a special pink hued cocktail and dessert. The Clover Pirouette cocktail is a mix of Bombay dry gin, vanilla, strawberry, lemon juice, egg whites and tiki bitters and the dessert is a cherry and smoked yuzu tart with charcoal burnt tonka bean meringue.
- love.fish: Enjoy love.fish’s rouge-coloured Native Gin Sour, a mix of Four Pillars rare dry gin, Davidson plum infused rosso, lime juice, thyme serum and cucumber.
- Sax: is offering two of their signature cocktails La Vi En Rose for $30 or order 2 La Vi En Rose and a cheese board for $45.
- Torotoro: Head into Torotoro for one of two pink cocktails, the Sakura Blossom or Strawberries and Cream, $22 each.
- Lotus: Enjoy a Sunset Sipper for the special price of $19, a delicious mix of hibiscus, hoju soju, yuzushu, passoa, cranberry and lemon.
- Bottega Coco: Treat yourself to Bottega Coco’s Cloudberry Bliss dessert, a pretty in pink combination of coconut panna cotta, strawberry mousse, meringue and cotton candy.
- Ume Burger: The Ebi Katsu (prawn cutlet) Burger with spicy cod roe mayo is available for September only. In September you can also add cod roe mayo to any burger for just $2.
- Untied: Drink and dine on the rooftop at Untied Monday-Friday. Grab a burger, salad and drink for $26 from 12-3pm or head in for their happy hour from 5-7pm and enjoy $10 beers, house wines and spirits.
- Spiced by Billus: Head in for lunch Monday to Friday and receive 20% off the bill. For those visiting in the evenings or on weekends try the Pink Delight menu featuring dishes with pink-themed ingredients.
- Born by Tapavino: Enjoy a different special every day of the week including $7 tapas all day Tuesday, $15 sangria all day Thursday and 20% off your total bill on Friday to name a few.
- Wild Sage: A selection of pink-themed dishes including eggs on toast with grilled red capsicum, pomegranate and beetroot yoghurt; a chia pod infused with dragon fruit, coconut milk, pineapple juice, seasonal fruits, coconut yoghurt and granola; pan fried barramundi with beetroot sauce, balsamic beetroot, grilled capsicum, purple Dutch carrots and pomegranate; and a Love Potions cocktail featuring vodka, raspberry liquor, pomegranate liquor, lemon juice and sugar.

The Streets of Barangaroo will host a number of collaborative events and performances centred around the concept of ritual, tapping into the human desire for connection, belonging and creativity via three unique activations: Two Strangers Walk Into A Bar; Dear Stranger; and Friday Ritual.
Two Strangers Walk Into A Bar is an immersive experience connecting two strangers through an audio guided tour. Conceived by Australian actor Tilda Cobham-Hervey, this intimate audio adventure invites participants to connect through playful and introspective exchanges and activities over the course of an hour. Taking place from 10am on Saturday and Sunday only from 14 – 29 September, tickets are $10 and the location will be announced soon.
Dear Stranger is a free activity taking place from 12pm – 2pm, Tuesday to Friday from 10 – 29 September, inviting participants to connect and understand another’s perspective through the intimate act of letter writing. Pen a heartfelt note to a stranger and receive an anonymous letter in return. Head to Exchange Square in Barangaroo during lunch to be a part of this joyful exchange and celebrate the unexpected connections and hidden stories that unite us all.
Unwind with Friday Ritual at Barangaroo on Friday 13, 20 and 27 September. From 10am to 5pm watch artist Matthew Aberline, with the Beautiful and Useful Studio, craft wind sculpted structures in the lobby of the International Towers, then follow the sculptures as they are paraded through the precinct from 5:15pm, accompanied by a community choir, to finally rest and be displayed at Waterman’s Cove at 5:45pm.
