Guests at The Reef House Adults Retreat will be cruising the iconic Great Barrier Reef Drive in the world’s most coveted supercars when the Prancing Horse Luxury Driving Experience returns to Palm Cove in May and June 2026.
The Reef House Adults Retreat General Manager, Wayne Harris said the opportunity to get behind the wheel of vehicles including the Ferrari 296 GTB, Lamborghini Huracan EVO, McLaren GT and Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition was popular with visitors.
“The Prancing Horse experience starts on 20 May, and we have extended it until 13 June to accommodate the strong demand by The Reef House Adults Retreat guests,” he said.
Prancing Horse Luxury Driving Experience co-founder Matt Thio said guests would experience each of the supercars with multiple drive swaps on the 250km scenic journey from Palm Cove to the Daintree and back via Mount Molloy.
“The Great Barrier Reef Drive is spectacular and pairs well with the luxury of staying at The Reef house Adults Retreat,” he said. “The driving experience includes private instruction and discreet support via a two-way radio with the dedicated lead vehicle as well as the opportunity to discuss the experience with fellow drivers during morning tea, lunch and dinner.”

6:30AM – Breakfast at The Reef House
Start your day with breakfast overlooking the Coral Sea.
8:00AM – Your luxury driving experience begins at The Reef House
Starting exclusively from The Reef House Adults Retreat, be warmly welcomed with the keys to a stable of immaculate supercars.
9:00AM – Departure from Palm Cove
Hit the road in your first supercar, along the stunning Great Barrier Reef Drive. This route is renowned for its cinematic landscapes, taking you through cane fields, rainforests, and the dramatic mountains of the Rex Range. With multiple car swaps along the journey, you and your partner will have the opportunity to experience the thrill of driving different supercars, including the brand new Ferrari 296 GTB, Lamborghini Huracán EVO, and more.
11:00AM – Morning Tea at Daintree Eco Lodge
Pause for a refreshing morning tea at the serene Daintree Eco Lodge, surrounded by the pristine beauty of the rainforest. Afterward, continue your journey as you cross the Mossman River and ascend the Rex Range, with the turquoise waters of the Coral Sea as your backdrop.
2:00PM – Lunch at Osprey’s Restaurant
Dine amongst the treetops at Osprey’s Restaurant, perched on a private headland at Thala Beach Nature Reserve. Enjoy a superb three-course lunch featuring locally sourced produce, while soaking in panoramic views towards Port Douglas and the shimmering Coral Sea.
4:00 – 5:00PM – Return Drive to Palm Cove
As the day draws to a close, chase a ribbon of road as the sun sets behind the Kuranda Range and the moon rises above the Coral Sea. The journey back to Palm Cove is as thrilling as it is beautiful, making for a fitting conclusion to an unforgettable day.
5:00PM – Punch & Canapés
Unwind and share stories of your day over punch and canapés at the Brigadier’s Bar.
7:00PM – Dine under the stars at The Reef House Restaurant
End your evening with a magical dining experience beneath the Melaleuca trees at The Reef House Restaurant.
