The Langham, Sydney celebrates the 2022 Lunar New Year with a luxurious feast at Kitchens on Kent. Friends and family can ring in the year of the tiger as Executive Chef, Stephen Lech curates a variety of dishes to represent classic Chinese flavours with a contemporary twist.
From Monday 31 January to Sunday 6 February 2022, Kitchens on Kent will be transformed to honour this special time
Executive Chef, Stephen Lech is preparing a buffet menu designed to bring the family together for the ultimate, celebratory feast:
“To celebrate the Lunar New Year at Kitchens on Kent we will showcase the best of Chinese classic cuisine with a contemporary twist, using locally sourced ingredients. Favourites such for family reunions, exchanging greetings for the coming New Year and ringing out the old with the new.
Byron Bay Berkshire BBQ pork with glazed greens, Salt and pepper squid and prawns with chilli and spring onion, Kinkawooka Mussels and clams with XO sauce as well as sustainably sourced Cone Bay Barramundi with ginger and shallot sauce”
Along with a live wok station featuring stir-fries made to order, there will be a variety of handmade dim sum and dumplings from our steamer section to accompany the variety of dishes on offer.
Make sure you save room for, our ever-popular patisserie section, featuring classic egg tarts, Lunar New Year cake and red bean buns along with our Kitchens on Kent dessert favourites including a chocolate fountain, ice creamery, and cookies jars with traditional fortune cookies.
To further mark the occasion and in keeping with time honoured tradition, there will be an opportunity for families and friends to toss for good luck with a large plate of Yu Sheng, a salad of raw fish, fruits and vegetables, to ensure a lucky, prosperous and healthy year for all.
