Electronic music festival Electric Island announces its grand return in 2026, where internationally-acclaimed dance icons meet impeccable beachside locations for the ultimate music experiences. The series will pair headliners Armand Van Helden and Above & Beyond with a slew of unmissable local and international powerhouses, still to be announced.

Kicking off with a one-day instalment at Adelaide’s Glenelg Beach on April 11, the series will next venture to Melbourne’s RIVA and Perth’s Cottesloe Beach for two-day weekenders across April 18 and 19.

Sweeping all three cities will be American electronic titan Armand Van Helden, who across his three-decade long career has undisputedly become one of house music’s most cherished names. Making a name for himself recording for labels such as Strictly Rhythm, Henry St., Logic and ZYX, the Grammy-nominated producer, DJ and high-profile remixer is behind mountains of club and Top 40 hits like “My My My”, “Barbara Streisand” and “I Want Your Soul”, is one-half of widely beloved dance duo Duck Sauce, and has performed prestigious stages across the globe with his unrivalled, endlessly fun DJ sets.

Fellow headliner – hitting Melbourne and Perth’s respective weekenders – is internationally revered, Grammy-nominated dance act, radio hosts and label heads Above & Beyond. Forming in 2000, the esteemed trio are behind an internationally-renowned radio show Group Therapy, have toured the world’s most illustrious clubs and venues – including our own Sydney Opera House – and shaped a catalogue of now-iconic dance anthems. With a brand new album in their arsenal Bigger Than All Of Us – Electric Island is excited to bring Above & Beyond back to their wide Australian fanbase.

Joining Armand Van Helden on all dates are local electronic royalty Flight Facilities (DJ Set). Since emerging with the celebrated global anthem “Crave You” in 2010, the award-winning duo have consistently crafted feel-good soundtracks that make people want to dance, rising to international fame with cult hits like “Clair de Lune” and “Sunshine” and performing the biggest stages at home and abroad, from Splendour in the Grass to Coachella, Glastonbury and more.

Damian Gelle, Electric Island promoter shared “Next year our Electric Island run expands into three states with five open-air shows across some of Australia’s finest shorelines including our debut at Melbourne’s lush Riviera Beach Club in St Kilda.”

Electric Island is brought to the country’s thriving electronic music community by T1000 Events, the independent team behind the long-running Electric Gardens festival. Born in Australia in 2016, the boutique festival has since evolved to become a necessary figure in the Australian dance music scene, over the years hosting some of the world’s most adored names in the business – including Fatboy Slim, Eric Prydz, Jamie Jones, DJ EZ, Craig David and plenty more. After an incredible run in 2025 that sold 25,000 tickets with the birth of Electric Island and Electric Warehouse parties, its sandy and sun-drenched off-shoot is now back fusing cutting edge world-class music with a dip of nostalgia and the backdrop of iconic beachside locations.

Presale starts 8am local Wednesday 22 October, while general on-sale tickets will be available from 8am local on Thursday 23 October.
