West Hotel Sydney, is hosting its inaugural Sober October wellness series of health-focused, non-alcoholic beverage events throughout October to raise funds for local and national charities. This initiative, part of West Hotel’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment, introducing three charities and showcasing beverage partners Altina Drinks, Heaps Normal, and Banks Botanicals.
Presented in collaboration with OneAnother.io, this Sober October event series is designed to not only promote responsible living but also foster a sense of community connection through kindness. OneAnother.io, a platform co-founded by Lisa Hollinshead and Chris Ingate, is dedicated to combating loneliness and promoting community engagement through acts of kindness. Known for curating events that inspire people to do good and feel good, OneAnother.io offers unique opportunities for individuals to connect with their community. At the event, Lisa and Chris will share insights on how guests can engage in frequent acts of kindness and contribute to a kinder, more connected world through OneAnother.io’s initiatives.
The Sober October event series features three themed beverage events—each focusing on wine, beer, and spirits—designed to support unique charitable causes. Proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit these charities, allowing attendees to make a meaningful impact while enjoying non-alcoholic alternatives in a wellness-inspired setting.
The series kicks off at Solander Dining Wine Charity Event on 10 October featuring Altina non-alcoholic wines, where guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of non-alcoholic wine innovation. During this unique experience, attendees will design their own custom Altina wine bottle labels, making for a perfect keepsake or gift.
The evening will feature a presentation by founders Christina and Alan, who will share the inspiring story behind Altina Drinks and discuss their journey in creating Australia’s leading alcohol-free wine. Guests will also discover the secrets behind Altina’s carefully curated range, learning about the Australian native botanicals and ingredients that set their drinks apart.

Each event promises a unique experience and an opportunity to give back, with tickets from $132.
