Wunderkind comes onboard

Luxury Fashion Label and airberlin develop a new amenity kit

Stars on Board! The luxury fashion label WUNDERKIND, founded by Wolfgang Joop, has joined Germany’s second-largest carrier airberlin on all long-haul flights. In collaboration with WUNDERKIND, airberlin has developed a new amenity kit for Business Class. The ‘culture and hygiene’ bag contains quality accessories from the Wunderkind label.

“It’s certainly rather special to work with a world-famous couturier like Wolfgang Joop. Passengers can certainly look forward to the results of the new collaboration.”, says Thomas Ney, SVP of Hospitality & Operations at airberlin.

Airberlin, which is a partner of Virgin Australia, started offering the new ‘Wunderkind’ amenity kit to its customers travelling on business class flights on long-haul international routes.

The two elegant unisex kits (for journeys to and from Germany) include: Wunderkind lip balm and facial moisturiser, and other comfort items including a sleeping mask, toothbrush and socks. The silver-grey amenity kits are certain to be used even after the flight, and thus remain a beautiful souvenir of an airberlin flight.

From now on, the on-board washrooms will be equipped with Wunderkind gel hand soap and body lotion. Passengers will feel completely relaxed with the new beauty products. Flying with airberlin is now even more comfortable.

In recent months, airberlin has continuously added to Business Class comforts: in 2014, the new full-flat seats were installed in all long-haul aircraft.

Business Class passengers will from now also enjoy more privacy on double seats with new privacy dividers. And the update cycle of the in-flight entertainment programme on long-haul routes has also been given a refresh. From now on the program will be updated every two months including the latest blockbusters.

Velocity Frequent Flyer members can travel to Abu Dhabi with Virgin Australia or its partner Etihad Airways before flying onwards to Berlin, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart with Airberlin.
