Best bars in Sydney to celebrate ANZAC

Whether you’re heading to the Dawn Service, whipping up some ANZAC biccies, or catching up with mates over a beer, ANZAC Day is a time to come together as a community and recognize the sacrifices made for our country.

Looking to spend ANZAC Day in Sydney? Here are the top bars to raise your glass in gratitude to those that serve, past and present. Some with live entertainment, two-up and ANZAC activities for kids.

The Beresford
There will be DJs spinning from midday and drag queen Maxi Shields hosting two-up from 2pm.

Tennyson Hotel
Pop in for a beer and a bite, with two-up kicking off from 9am and running til 3.30pm.

The Newport
Start your day with a bacon & egg roll breakfast followed by all-day ANZAC biccies. They’ve also got two-up from 1pm – 5pm and live entertainment from midday onwards. First drinks for servicemen are on The Newport.

Vic On The Park
Head over to The Vic for an all-day carpark party! Two-up from 12pm – 6pm with the Dolla Bill Darlings, DJs from 12pm, plus tinnie and slushie bars. Special guests The Andy Golledge Band.

Coogee Pavilion
Family fun all day at The Pav, from 10 am to 12 noon for the kids they have face painting and a caricatures artist. Then for the grownups there will be Two-Up from 1pm – 5pm.

ivy
They’re doing things a bit differently at the ivy, with an ANZAC Day Backpackers Party. DJs will be spinning until late. Looking for a spot to boogie? You’ve found it.
