The Star Kick-Up Challenge marks the first in an action-packed line up of activities at the precinct’s 24/7 Sports Bar to celebrate the return of the world’s biggest football tournament.

With some of the world’s best football talent set to show off their skills live from Qatar from Sunday 20 November, The Star Sydney has teamed up with the world record holder for football juggling, Jed Hockin, to launch The Star Kick-Up Challenge – a hunt to find Australia’s most creative keepie-uppies.

Inviting Aussies to get in on some soccer action, The Star will be giving one lucky fan the chance to share their love of the game with the world and win an all-inclusive VIP game booth for eight at the soccer finals, a $500 bar voucher and, return flights to a football destination of their choice (to the value of $10,000).

To enter, entrants have to simply post a video of the most creative ball juggling trick to Instagram and tag @247_SportsBar @TheStarSydney #thestarkickupchallenge between Monday 14 November and Friday 2 December.

Beyond the challenge, The Star Sydney’s 24/7 Sports Bar is also unveiling a world class program of events and activities throughout the iconic football competition to cement 24/7 Sports Bar as the ultimate place to watch every game and goal live, large and loud.

As part of the celebrations, the 24/7 Sports Bar will be continuing its ever-popular Champions Series with explosive Portuguese winger, famed for years at Manchester United, Luis Nani making an appearance on Friday 2nd December.

Nani will share stories of his iconic career, thoughts on how the competition is hotting up and bets on who might take out the golden trophy. Plus, fans will get the chance to ask no-holds barred questions and even capture a photo with Nani on the night.

Along with the Champion’s Series, fans will also be able to get up close and personal with a range of Sydney FC and local legends of the game appearing every Saturday throughout the tournament for Q&A sessions, meet & greets and photo opportunities. Guests will also have the chance to meet with notable names such as Tommy Oar, Nick Carle, Paul Wade, Alex Tobin and many more as well as experience interactive games during halftime such as juggling competitions for the chance to win The Star gift vouchers. Plus, for every match day, fans visit 24/7 Sports Bar and purchase a Budweiser, they will earn a stamp to unlock limited edition collectible merchandise. The more stamps collected, the more merch is unlocked, including hats, cups, football and ultimately a $500 Star Gift Card.
