The Lion & Buffalo, a local Cafe favourite, best known for their signature Better Than Sex Ramen are taking things up a notch this November as they introduce a luxe Caviar menu. For a limited time only. Forget freshly shaved truffles on your morning scramble, it’s time to indulge on a different type of egg.

Caviar Breakfast is a limited-time, curated selection of dishes featuring rare and delicious Caviar salty pearls which have long been considered a delicacy, a food that’s associated with pure luxury and much coveted in the culinary world.

Chef Tomislav Martinovic, a former luminary of Internationally acclaimed, Heston Blumenthal, has lovingly devised a stunning brunch-inspired menu which features not one but five different styles of Caviar as the hero, enhancing each dish with its taste, texture and rich flavour.

Move over B&E Roll because The Lion & Buffalo’s Breakfast Sandwich is here! Enjoy a delicate prawn & bug meat sausage topped with a chilli fried egg, cheese, sauce gribiche & Black River Oscietra between a fluffy warm Ciabatta ($29). Or perhaps the Spanner Crab Scrambled Eggs with brown butter hollandaise, shallots, seaweed, steamed Koshikarri rice & Kaviari Oscietre ($42) is more your style.

If you thought their Ramen was amazing before, wait until you try it now. Topped with generous dollops of Thesauri Baerii Caviar, the Better than Sex Ramen features a Tantanmen Ramen Broth with sesame & chilli paste, a soy infused egg, nori and Hakata style noodles ($36).

There is also a Fried Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich with green chilli yoghurt, purple cabbage slaw, shallots and Black River Siberian Caviar on a warm ciabatta (27) or the pillow soft (restaurant-worthy) Ricotta Dumplings floating in a chickpea miso butter sauce with fermented onions, salmon roe, chives & Royal Baerii ($32).

Taking inspiration from the experimental tastings of the legendary Heston Blumenthal, Tomislav has paired Caviar with White Chocolate Ice-Cream in a waffle cone, drizzled with saffron syrup and topped with freeze-dried mandarin ($21). Taking the humble soft serve to a whole new level of indulgence and discovery, a pairing you didn’t know you needed.

Whether you are a local or a visitor seeking a delicious feed, it’s best you run (don’t walk), into The Lion & Buffalo as the Caviar menu is only available for a short time as an added extra to the much-loved cafe menu.
