Gin lovers and nature enthusiasts alike can now pair up their passions and enjoy a stay at the world’s-first dedicated The Botanist Gin deluxe plus tent at Paperbark Camp in Woollamia. Unwind under a canopy of paperbark trees and take in your surroundings while enjoying the foraged botanicals of The Botanist Gin.
This glamping experience curated by The Botanist Gin is situated just two and half hours drive south of Sydney in Woollamia, near the pristine clear waters and white sand beaches of Jervis Bay.
From mid-March to the end of April, this unique and cosy camp will welcome guests to stay at The Botanist Gin deluxe plus safari tent, which will be kitted out with a complete cocktail set including a complimentary bottle of The Botanist Gin, dried fruit garnishes and Fever Tree Indian Tonic for guests to either make themselves a classic dry martini or a refreshing gin & tonic.
In the tent, guests will also find The Botanist Gin luxury picnic hamper and a picnic rug for them to use when exploring the grounds, either by picnicking by the lake or even on their relaxing verandah. In each pack, guests will also find a note containing more information on local bush walks where they can learn a bit more about local foraging, similar to how the botanicals are foraged for The Botanist Gin.
The stay will include a full breakfast, a three-course dinner and the use of facilities such as bikes and canoes. After a delicious dinner in Paperbark’s treetop dining room, The Gunyah, grab your torch and meander back under the stars to snuggle up in your bush hideaway, lulled into a restful sleep by the sounds of the bush at night.
The tent also includes an open-air private en suite, with a freestanding bath and shower, perfect for bird watching and kangaroo spotting while you relax in the tub. Delicious handmade soaps and lotions made from natural ingredients and gowns are also provided. It’s the perfect setting for a romantic candlelit oasis amongst the gum trees.
The canvas safari-style tents have been placed thoughtfully amongst the tall eucalyptus and intriguing paperbarks, built above the ground to give privacy and capture the sea breeze. All tents have wrap-around decking with outdoor furniture, polished hardwood floors, full insect screening, solar-powered lighting as well as high-quality linen and all the hotel amenities you would expect for a luxe camping experience.
When enjoying The Botanist Gin, the scent of Islay botanicals gently rises, displaying wild aromas of mint, thyme, sweet gale and camomile. With a rich and mellow flavour, cool on entry, then warming across the palate, your taste buds are stimulated with a round mouthfeel and citrus freshness.

Classic Dry Martini
50ml The Botanist Gin
10ml Dry Vermouth
Garnish: lemon twist or chilled Green Olive
Method: Add all ingredients to the mixing glass. Add ice and stir to dilute. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, garnish as desired.

Fever-Tree Tonic Water
Method: Build in glass and stir. Rosemary sprig with a sliced orange or grapefruit to garnish.
