? Seadeck Sydney Harbour

Once a popular party vessel, SeaDeck had been long sitting dormant at Cockatoo Island Marina (two years). The proprietors of Escape Boating saw a huge opportunity in the 42-metre, 450-passenger, handcrafted vessel and, across the past several months, took over ownership breathing new life into her – completely stripping the boat back and creating a custom-designed deck.

They’re now ready for re-launch just in time for the warmer summer season, with a brand new attitude to match! Seadeck is ready for her fresh start on the Harbour. Onboard you’ll get to experience an impressive musical line-up, carefully curated cocktails, and a delicious a la carte menu paired with top-notch service.

The Music

SeaDeck will play host to a jam-packed live music program. New Years’ Day will see one of the world’s most admired and in-demand DJs, Jackmaster, fly in from the UK, bringing the energy to Seadeck – launching 2023 in spectacular fashion.

Keep an eye out on SeaDeck’s socials for ticket on sale dates. Sydneysiders can get down on the deck to Aussie club legends and ARIA Award winners Yolanda Be Cool, who will host their own special party experience – “HOUSE OF YYES” – with regular resident DJs Aidan Bega and Baby Gee, alongside a plethora of their DJ friends.

HOUSE OF YYES kicks off on Saturday October 29, with tickets through Moshtix, and they’ll be back again on Saturday November 5. Sydneysiders wanting to party like celebrities can round up 10 mates and book their very own premium VIP booth for $2500, which comes with your own dedicated table, personal waitstaff, charcuterie board, a 1.75L Ciroc Vodka, Moet Chandon, unlimited mixers and more!

If a sunny Sunday session is more your style, Sundays will be the perfect opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of eats and drinks, topped off with those top-notch, 360-degree harbour views, as Seadeck teams up with Sounds Like to bring you KLP, Mousse T, OFFAIAH, and Weiss, just to name a few, on Sundays throughout the season.

The Design

Seadeck has undergone an extensive refurbishment with internationally renowned designer Alex Zabotto Bentley from AZB Creative (The Blue Hotel Bondi, Shutters Coogee, Glass Island, The Cumberland Manly, Captain Paddington and more) taking the helm (literally!). Inspired by Zabotto Bentley’s recent travels along the Mediterranean coast, he has created a three-level deck experience on board.

The expansive main deck features a beautiful oceanic bar with exotic greenery aplenty and a custom-built, retractable awning. With a simple press of a button, two of the decks are instantly fully protected. This state-of-the-art addition ensures that guests can enjoy cruising aboard Seadeck, regardless of the elements on the day.

A grand staircase, reminiscent of the Great Gatsby, leads to a second deck with another full-service bar and seating set amongst azure hues. The top deck gives way to spectacular 360-degree views and is adorned with comfy seating. VIP tables with full bottle service and dedicated wait staff are scattered over all three decks for those looking for a truly decadent experience.

No expense has been spared with handmade artisanal tiles, opulent fabrics, a custom-designed brass bar, bespoke furniture, and a colour palette inspired by the sea. Says Zabotto Bentley:

“I was so inspired by the colours, textures, hospitality, and lifestyle that encompasses a traditional European summer holiday. By looking at the smaller islands in the Mediterranean – where everything is somewhat handmade and artisanal – we felt that Seadeck should reflect that handcrafted vibe. I’m excited to relaunch this amazing venue that has been tailored to offer Sydneysiders a brand new lifestyle experience for their summer.”

Food & Drink

Chef Simon Ekas of Simon Ekas Catering has developed a sharing-style menu designed for easy eating while standing, and in groups – it encompasses dry-aged wagyu beef burgers, wild mushroom arancini doused in truffle oil and grated parmesan cheese, juicy grilled prawn tacos, buttermilk marinated southern fried chicken, spicy calamari with sriracha aioli, and charcuterie boards.

The tailored cocktail menu has been curated by mixologist Robbie Stowe, an Australian and New Zealand Flair Bartending Champion with over 19 years of experience. Signature sips include Below Deck (Vodka with Peach Liqueur, Passion Fruit Puree, Vanilla Syrup, Pineapple Juice, and Lime), the First Mate Daiquiri (Blanco Rum, Coconut Liqueur, Strawberry Puree, Coconut Syrup and Lime), and the High Seas Gin Sour (Aperol, Watermelon Syrup, Pineapple Juice, and Lemon Juice).
