Rogue Homme is Arrnott Olssen who is Sydney’s well known and accomplished singer, fashion stylist and lifestyle creator. A modern day gentleman whom I have full respect for since the day I met him at an event a couple of years ago.
Ever since I started blogging as a travel writer and moved into the lifestyle space. I didn’t know who to look up to, ask questions and advice on certain topics and how to grow and look at the bigger picture.
InterContinental Sydney hosted the season’s hottest rooftop event at the Supper Club, celebrating Rogue Homme’s 5th birthday among 120 of Sydney’s elite and industry partners. Celebrating among Arrnott Olssen and InterContinental Sydney was some of the media and industry’s hottest names, including Lizzy Lovette, Helen Chik, Deb Carr and I, Rafael Ruiz.
With style, heritage and understated luxury at the heart of Rogue Homme, the event paid tribute to the blog’s first five years with an elegant affair that moved throughout InterContinental Sydney in a carefully-designed multi-sensory journey. Key event partners Grey Goose and Hayman’s Gin brought the creative vision to life with signature cocktails and a dramatic Grey Goose centrepiece to mark the occasion.
We started at the hotel’s pop-up Florist bar on the ground floor which was transformed to a perfectly curated garden-party theme, with vintage watering cans, garden gnomes and a canopy of fairy lights. Event partners, Hayman’s Gin, welcomed guests with a signature Gin & Jay cocktail from the resident mixologist, John Toubia.
Guests were then escorted up the private elevators to the evening’s main attraction – Supper Club by InterContinental Sydney. Perched up on level 32 and stunning 270-degree views of Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Opera House and Bridge never looked so breathtaking. In signature Supper Club style, the exclusive rooftop bar and lounge was themed to seasonal perfection, showcasing fresh blooms shaded in dark red hues, candlelight and a stunning long-run centrepiece featuring a luxe line-up of cheese & charcuterie, grapes, figs, seasonal fruits – and of course, Grey Goose highlights. Three bespoke Grey Goose cocktails included the halo cocktail of the evening, the Le Grand Fizz, and signature cocktails: the Grey Goose & Watermelon and Honey Suckle Fix.
Arrnott Olssen, Rogue Homme founder, said: “The first five years has been an incredible journey. Rogue Homme is about style, luxury, the experiential and the timeless classics, and no one could deliver this vision quite like InterContinental Sydney. Supper Club, like Rogue Homme, is synonymous with boldness and innovation and being able to celebrate the embodiment of this with friends, the media and partners have me wonderfully excited for what the next five years can bring!”
Supper Club by InterContinental Sydney is Sydney’s premier rooftop bar and lounge and is opened Thursday to Saturday from 8pm until late. The rooftop venue is available for private events and bookings are essential.
