Quartier Bistro tickles with Mardi Gras Film

Love is universal, we all love to indulge when we go out and who doesn’t love a good film?

The Quartier Bistro and Bar, a newly launched French restaurant located at the Quay West Suites Sydney in the Rocks, will be celebrating Valentine’s Day by offering loved up couples a special three course set menu. February will also see the launch of their Mardi Gras Film Festival package.

Boasting gourmet French inspired cuisine, the restaurant is the culinary vision of Chef Matteo Bisori formerly of the M Gallery Harbour Rock Hotel.

With a choice of Scallop tartare with orange, mint and Avruga caviar, or Crab and avocado salad with Poblano Veloute – the perfect fresh start for these summer nights! For mains, guests can enjoy succulent lamb cutlets with peas and carrot Veloute and baby vegetables or pan-fried snapper with capsicum sauce and baby prawns.

For a sweet finish, dessert options include a Crème Brûlée on fire or a rich Valrhona chocolate torte with vanilla bean glacè and bruised berries. Priced at $89pp with paired wines and $70pp without drinks, the set menu features wonderful food for great value.

But wait there is more, The Quartier is offering an exclusive Mardi Gras Film Festival package from the 13th – 28th of February. Back for its 26th year, Queer Screen will be showcasing films created by both Australian and international LGBTQI filmmakers. For those seeing one of 120 film screenings, flash your ticket for a generous $45pp package including a starter and main each and bottle of wine shared between two.  

Less is more with the unmistakably French classics featured on the menu, which allow quality produce to speak for itself within each dish. Translating to ‘neighbourhood’, The Quartier offers casual dining with a chic and modern interior of detailed white wooden panelling on the walls and plush seating.
