Prime Restaurant, Sydney’s longest running premium steak restaurant, is offering an exclusive one-off degustation dinner matched with premium Bordeaux wines on Saturday 4 November.
In partnership with Airoldi Fine Wines, guests can experience the world’s first seven course premium meat degustation in Prime’s special underground private dining room, along with a selection of wines from the iconic Bordeaux region of southwest France.
The premium meat degustation designed by Prime’s Head Chef Erwan Helary is a truly luxurious and decadent experience and unlike any other degustation in the world, using premium-only cuts and superior cooking techniques to provide a unique tasting journey through Australia’s best steaks including Full Blood Wagyu 9+, Black Angus and Angus-Hereford Yearling.
The degustation is matched with rare vintage wines from esteemed estates including Chateau Léoville Las Cases, Chateau Nenin and Chateau Potensac, which will be presented by Florent Genty, Market Development Manager at Domaines Delon who will make the trip for the dinner from France, and Daniel Airoldi, owner and operator of Airoldi Fine Wines.
Each steak is grilled to perfection and paired with housemade sauces and flavoursome accompaniments including foie gras, scampi, quail yolk, bisque and Prime’s signature truffle jus, expertly paired with fine wines from the most prestigious French wine-growing regions including Pomerol, Saint-Julien and Left Bank.
The event will run from 6:30pm-10:00pm for 12 guests. Tickets are priced at $650 per person.
