New Year’s Eve is literally around the corner and your either that person who has everything planned to a tee or winging it.

New Year’s Eve is one of those nights that you build up in your mind and get all excited. How will the night go, and more importantly – where will you go?

Here are a couple of places to consider.

Sailmaker – Hyatt Regency Sydney

Darling Harbour Fireworks
See the night sky light up with a fun firework show at 9pm and 12midnight. Darling Harbour is a family friendly place to welcome in 2019. The area opens from 1pm and is a glass and alcohol-free event.

Circular Quay Fireworks
The official Sydney New Years celebration – the night to enjoy every moment.
6pm: Prepare to be thrilled for the pre-show entertainment with an aerial display, tug boat water display (7pm) followed by an encore aerial performance (8pm)
7:30pm: Welcome from the Gadigal Elders and an age-old ritual smoking ceremony.
9pm: Family fireworks for our little spectators before they nod off to sleep. Following the first fireworks of the night, Sydney Harbour lights up with ships gliding across the water with colour changing light display.
12midnight: At the stroke of midnight, Sydney celebrates the start of the new year in spectacular fashion. From the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and surrounds. Tune to KISS106.5FM to sync to the music.

The Ternary – Novotel Darling Harbour
Enter the world of being glamorous and an elegant masquerade themed on NYE. Be entertained with a live band and DJ complete with views of the Darling Harbour fireworks. Arrival champagne or cocktail, followed by free-flowing beverages throughout the evening perfectly paired with an abundance delicious eats from a seafood buffet and interactive food stations. $319 per person.

Opera Bar – Circular Quay
