Muse Pilates is excited to announce the opening of its first studio on the Gold Coast, located at The Alcove in Southport, offering reformer Pilates classes. With a mission to bring “real Pilates for real people,” Muse Pilates offers reformer Pilates classes designed for individuals of all fitness levels. The studio will be an oasis where locals can escape from judgement, expectation, and stress to find clarity, calm, and connection.

Muse Pilates is committed to creating a supportive and empowering environment where health and joy come first. “We want people to feel welcome no matter their fitness level, body shape, or experience with Pilates,” said Allana Ford, CEO of Muse Pilates. “Our classes are designed to meet people where they are. At Muse, the focus is on building strength and wellness through personalised attention in boutique-style classes. The smaller class sizes (12 people maximum per class) allow for one-on-one guidance, ensuring that every participant gets the most out of their workout. The studio’s experienced instructors are passionate about helping clients discover the benefits of Pilates, both physically and mentally.

  • Fundamentals
    A beginner-friendly class focused on mastering the basics of Pilates. It emphasizes foundational movements, form, and technique to help participants build a strong core and gain confidence in Pilates essentials. Ideal for those new to Pilates or those wanting a refresher.
  • Essentials
    This class builds on Fundamentals and introduces slightly more complex movements. Essentials is designed for participants with a basic understanding of Pilates, focusing on strength, stability, and flexibility while keeping the movements accessible.
  • Level Up
    An intermediate class for those looking to challenge themselves. Level Up incorporates dynamic and advanced exercises to deepen core strength, enhance coordination, and build endurance. It’s great for regular Pilates practitioners ready to push their practice further.
  • Rebound
    A high-energy class that combines Pilates with cardio elements, often incorporating a rebounder (mini-trampoline) for a low-impact, high-intensity workout. This class is designed to boost cardiovascular fitness and tone muscles while remaining easy on the joints.
  • Stretch & Release
    A restorative class focusing on gentle stretching and muscle release. It’s perfect for improving flexibility, releasing tension, and aiding recovery. Often includes techniques like foam rolling or deep stretching for a relaxing and therapeutic session.
  • Booty Burner
    This class targets the glutes and lower body for toning and strengthening. Using Pilates principles, it isolates the glutes, thighs, and hips with exercises designed to create a sculpted, lifted look while enhancing lower body strength and stability.
  • Fire Up
    A high-intensity class that integrates Pilates with strength and resistance training for a full-body workout. Fire Up incorporates challenging sequences, often using weights or resistance bands, to build muscle endurance, power, and resilience.
