Introducing Live At The Table, Merivale’s new seated gig series, presented by partners Byron Bay Brewery and Jameson. Helping to safely reignite live music in Sydney and showcase the best homegrown talent, Live At The Table launches with Lime Cordiale (DJ set) and friends at Upstairs Beresford on Thursday 29 October. Tickets are on sale now.

Transforming Upstairs Beresford into a seated cabaret-style theatre (in strict compliance with COVID regulations), Live At The Table is helping to usher in a new era of entertainment in Sydney. The series kicks off with a evening curated by Oliver and Louis Leimbach, better known as Australian rock-pop duo, Lime Cordiale, who recently impressed with eight nominations in this year’s ARIA Awards, including ‘Album Of The Year’, ‘Best Group’, ‘Song of The Year’ and ‘Best Pop Release’. The night will feature live performances by friends Le Shiv and Carla Wehbe, and a special Lime Cordiale DJ set.

Next up is DJ and producer Young Franco who will be joined by BoomChild for his first ever live show on 5 November, followed by North Coast cosmic outfit Babe Rainbow on 19 November, future soul singer Milan Ring on 3 December, indie rock duo Winterbourne on 10 December, and Touch Sensitive on 17 December.

Live At The Table is one of many initiatives Merivale is launching to help reignite live music and support an industry brought to its knees this year. A long-time champion of live music and local talent, Merivale invested in an extensive DJ programme as soon as restrictions were eased in June and has recently announced the return of free live music at Vic on the Park. The iconic Inner West local will now showcase local bands and artists including The Melodrones, Bread Club and Pirra every Friday and Saturday night, in partnership with Byron Bay Brewery.

The hospitality leader is also taking part in Great Southern Nights, the NSW Government initiative aiming to stimulate the revival to the live music and entertainment sectors with 1,000 gigs across venues around NSW. Merivale will play host to Winston Surfshirt at The Newport on 29 November, along with a further 40+ headline acts playing across the group over summer.

Nick van Tiel, Merivale’s Group Entertainment Manager, said: “Music is such an important part of who we are at Merivale, and it means so much to us to have the support of our brand partners, along with NSW Government and Destination NSW, to help us bring live entertainment back into our venues. Along with supporting the industry and helping everyone get back on their feet, we’re super excited to have such a high calibre of talent to showcase over the next couple of months. Bring on summer!”

With guest and staff safety of paramount importance, Merivale is trading in strict accordance with government mandated health and safety regulations.
