It wasn’t just the racing action entertaining me this time round at the races, it was an afternoon exploring with two of my gorgeous friends, checking out the vibrant crowd at the lawn, a bubble or two at the Chandon pop-up bar, gazing at the Clinique Pamper Lounge over some Belvedere cocktails and beats from the live DJ.
With member access we got to explore the ultimate race day experience, but first we head straight to level 4 of the Queen Elizabeth II, to The Stables for a quick lunch on the cocktail terrace taking in the Theatre Of The Horse and unique aspects across Centennial Park to the Sydney CBD skyline, and afternoon cocktails.
If you ever get a chance, check out the Grandview Restaurant which offers fine dining with the best views of the track.
Royal Randwick’s massive month of Spring racing continued at the inaugural Men Of League Cox Plate Day, bringing Sydney punters and sporting fans together on one of Australian racing’s favourite days of the year. There were lots of great looking men wearing their best suit, kilts, accessories – hats, groomed mos, polished shoes and the necessary pocket square.
The Bucket List Beach Club Marquee – part of Royal Randwick’s social playground, has proved to be hugely popular, though it wasn’t our scene as it was overly crowded. Perhaps the members area and offerings were more to our likings, as we had plenty of room to walk around, enjoy the people watching and have access to to certain air-conditioned modern bars.
It was such a chillax day and the weather was not as hot as the previous week at the races.
