When we think a ‘regional’ vacation, some of us think of the ultimate road trip and think about where to sleep later. Most of the time I end up sleeping in the back seat, on the floor camping or at a caravan park in a tin accommodate with spiders everywhere, and I mean everywhere!
Well those who enjoy a glamping over camping, luxury over budget, comfortable bed over a hammock. Regional NSW have up the ante and has seen an increase of luxury accommodation. Travellers now have the chance to relax and recharge and bespoke accommodation.
Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said, “There is a demand for luxury accommodation in Regional NSW, particularly travellers whom enjoy the state’s food, wine, beach destinations and are after something a little bit stylish to switch off and feel refreshed. Travellers to NSW are always on the hunt for great accommodation, be it luxury, eco, unique, or in an impressive location. I’m delighted that visitors to NSW now also have these stunning properties to choose when booking a getaway.”
Here are five new luxury boutique accommodation you got to check out in regional NSW:
Goonoo Goonoo Station, Tamworth
On a working cattle station outside Tamworth, an impressive refurbishment of the 19th century heritage-listed and pastoral village been turned into luxury accommodation. The seven private cottage have been beautifully restored and capture the history of the station while still providing guests with all the luxuries they need – heated swimming pool, tennis court, guest lounge, luxurious beds and linen, Wi-Fi and even heated floors in the bathroom. Goonoo Goonoo Station also includes a purpose-built restaurant, focused on using local produce, coupled with floor to ceiling glass windows offering incredible views over the rolling hills and the distant Liverpool Range.
Kimo Estate, Gundagai
Set on a 7000 acre working farm, Kimo Estate has built three luxury eco-huts that sits proudly on the hills with 360 degree views over the Murrambidgee River flats. The architecturally designed huts provide a quiet spot to refresh and features solar power, rain water, wood heater and a beautiful bathroom and gourmet breakfast.
