Laduree Tea Tasting

Last week , the team at Ladurée Sydney were setting up a tea-tasting popup at Westfields Sydney on level 3.

Taste your way through Ladurée Paris’ range of delicious teas, and match your favourite tea with its paired macaron. Plus, pick up the perfect gift with a limited edition Chinese New Year macaron box.

Available daily from 12noon to 3pm from the 17 February to 1 March 2015.

The only drawback to this was that I spent pretty much the entire afternoon break tasting there tea escaping the city within the city. Tucked away in the garden café behind the counter.

It sort of felt as though summer was having a burst of sunshine and put a stop to the busy week. A garden party to add to the imagination.

I tried the Roi Soleil tea, it is a polite blend that indeed combined a rhubarb and caramel taste to the green tea. Paired with their top three macarons; Salted Caramel, Pistachio and Raspberry Framboise.

Fresh, light, creamy and full of flavour, these beautiful short pastries were. An afternoon of indulgence.

I was so impressed with Ladurée excellent service, even the passer-bys took notice of the tea-tasting pop-up and took a break from their shopping.

Other teas on offer were:

A Chinese black tea wrapped in various citrus fruits of mandarin orange, grapefruit, orange and lemon, delicately enhanced by a ring of jasmine flowers. A tea to enjoy throughout the day.

Marie Antoinette
A marriage of Chinese black tea combine with rose petals, citrus fruit and honey. Sweet and romantic, a delicious afternoon tea.

Melange Ladurée
An elegant combination of Chinese black tea, citrus fruit, flowers, light spices and vanill. A sweet and delicate blend. Ladurée’s signature tea blend.

Take a moment from your shopping or pop into the café and take a well deserved break. Tea for two and a macaron for you.
