On Thursday evening the global fashion retailer H&M launched its Sydney flagship store at Pitt Street Mall, with DJ and style icon Solange Knowles and home grown talent Flight Facilities performing at the VIP event. I was lucky enough to walk down the red carpet with Kiri Yanchenko from Fashion Blender and experience the thrill of the crowd and rub shoulders with celebrities, Sydney socialites, bloggers, models and industry colleagues (oh my!)
Guests enjoyed flowing champagne, different cocktails on all three levels of the heritage Glass House and canapés before exploring the 5,000 sq m. store and shopping the latest women’s, men’s, kids’ and home collections. The home collection was a particular hit, as this was the first time it is available in Sydney.
Undoubtedly a highlight of the night were the musical performances. Solange Knowles looked stunning in her H&M x Balmain outfit and entertained guest with a fantastic DJ performance. Local favourites Flight Facilities, Cassette, Charlie Chux and KLP also added to the celebratory vibe.
Look out for key looks this summer. For the women check out the shimmering range of green bikini top and bottoms from $49.95, sexy bohemian romance with a carefree summer style beach dress from $14.95, or spend your days under the sun with white short dresses and bodysuits. For the men we welcome short chinos from $19.95, cotton short-sleeved t-shirts $14.95 to bold coloured swim shorts from $14.95 . Imagine a preppy look with a magenta short chinos, a crisp white shirt and a pair of Espadrilles shoes. That’s a budget just less than $50, bargain!
The night ended with some industry friends and I enjoying the DJ set and hit the dance floor celebrating a fantastic shopping icon and experience Sydney.
Thank you for a great time.
Have you check out the store, what was your first purchase?
