Dining Experience Ambassador Jimmy Wong said, “At the Heart of Surry Hills, come and discover the vibrant and often surprising food, dining and drinks scene, right here in my Surry Hills. From the early hours of breakfast right through to the night, there is always something exciting to be discovered. “

On Saturday 5 November, The Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre presents its monthly Vintage Market Day in Shannon Reserve with the addition of a live music stage, celebrating women in Jazz and featuring the musical talents of Virna Sinzone, Kate Wadey and their amazing instrumental trios.

A free two-day outdoor event in Shannon Reserve will close the Heart of Surry Hills on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November. Enticing visitors from far and wide, it will feature a talented and diverse lineup of DJs, gourmet food trucks and local beverage producers BRIX Distillers, Four Pillars Gin, Hawkes Brewing Co, and Yulli’s Brews, plus showcasing ‘Art in the Park’, a four-week Community Art Project presented by the Surry Hills Community Centre.

The Heart of Surry Hills is a big, bold all-encompassing showcase of the iconic venues, fine dining, live music from local talent, amazing pubs, and gorgeous parklands that make up one of Sydney’s most creative, culinary and culture-driven inner-city suburbs, just two kilometres from the CBD.

Margot Natoli, Precinct Activation Producer “This thoughtfully curated month-long precinct activation was designed with the very Heart of Surry Hills in mind. Appreciating the challenges that businesses are experiencing as we emerge and recover, we wanted to facilitate a stress-free venue inclusion by asking businesses to do what they do best and to celebrate and amplify that message. Celebrating our chefs, sommeliers, cocktail creators, hospitality personnel and our local beverage producers in our venues, and in our beautiful parklands supported by art and music.
