Off the back of Fonda’s highly successful Sydney debut in Bondi Beach in 2017, the fun-loving Mexican eatery today announced it will open its doors to its newest casa in Surry Hills on November 11.
Located on Crown Street, in the beating heart of Sydney’s dining scene, the restaurant has been inspired by the fondas of Mexico, much like its sister venues, to evoke a sense of familiarity and to make everyone feel welcome; and their Surry Hills casa will be no exception.
Best known for their fresh approach to Mexican cuisine, you can expect all your Fonda favourites including their legendary tacos, chargrilled quesadillas, burritos rolled with their signature flour tortillas, and nachos with house made guacamole and pico de gallo, with the menu available for both eat-in and takeaway.
You’ll also enjoy a killer cocktail list featuring their much-loved Margarita selection ranging from house, traditional and frozen – the perfect little tickler to get your Mexican fiesta started. The drink list will also include a selection of cerveza (beer), cider, and a varied wine list featuring local and international producers.
Recently celebrating their decade milestone with their 10th birthday, founders Tim McDonald and David Youl are excited to bring their passion for deliciously fresh Mexican food to life at another venue.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be launching Fonda Surry Hills. A great restaurant makes you feel at home and we look forward to welcoming Sydneysiders and visitors to the area into our latest casa when we open our doors,” said Tim McDonald.
Fonda Surry Hills will mark Fonda’s ninth venue across Melbourne and Sydney when it launches on November 11.
