With just two weeks away from the launch of Flight Centre’s Wow List 2020; the expert’s guide to the top 50 travel experiences for the upcoming year. From sky to sea, rail to road and treks to tents, there is bound to be an experience that ticks off everyone’s travel wish list.

The Wow List is published annually by Flight Centre and compiles extensive customer booking data, consultations with its in-house travel experts and a vast understanding of the travel industry to bring readers and customers a guide to the top travel experiences for the year ahead.

From the broad list, Flight Centre has singled out four experiences to get the travel bug buzzing. Whether it is catching a scenic rail journey through the soaring Swiss Alps or exploring the wilderness of Canada’s Yukon, there is something to satiate every traveller’s wanderlust.

2020 Wow List Top Four snapshot:

1. Great Barrier Reef – Heron Island – A sea lover and diver’s dream, the reefs are pristine with an abundance of sea life. Swim with a 60-year-old turtle or two and experience the magnificent reef in all its natural glory.

2. Yukon, Canada – Immerse yourself in this winter wonderland while gazing at nature’s spectacular light display, the northern lights, as you explore the untamed wilderness of the Yukon. See incredible wildlife up close and meander through quaint towns while enjoying cosy lodge accommodation set among the backdrop of wild Canada.

3. Swiss Rail Journey – Marvel at the jaw-dropping scenery of the Swiss Alps – an Instagrammer’s dream of chocolate-box beauty – on an epic rail journey through the stunning countryside.

4. Avignon to Lyon river cruise, France – A foodie’s idea of gastronomic heaven, taking in two of the most renowned food and wine regions in France. Travelling on a Viking river cruise, the cuisine, wine and incredible scenery will whet the appetite and stimulate the senses.

Each of the Wow List’s four feature journeys is captured by extensive and evocative digital content, fronted by the Flight Centre’s own travel experts, that have been created to visually illustrate the unique signature experiences.
