Leading Australian plant-based snack brand, Fancy Plants, is celebrating Earth Day by going on tour to hand out thousands of free plant-based snacks. These passionate plant-pioneers have also teamed up with The Tree Project to get their hands dirty (literally!) and plant some trees.

The theme of this year’s Earth Day is to invest in our planet, and two fabulously simple ways to help the Earth flourish are by eating more plant-based food and planting trees. That is why Fancy Plants has decided to help Aussies do precisely that with its ‘Plants for the Planet’ tour.

As part of the tour, a fancy dessert van will pop up at Bondi Beach and Federation Square on the 20th and 22nd of April, handing out over 20,000 free, seriously delicious plant-based snacks better for the planet. On the day, people can also join the Fancy Plants x The Tree Projects ‘Plants for the Planet’ program that will see at least 5,000 trees being planted.

With 20,000 Fancy Plants dessert-style snacks being dished out for free in Sydney and Melbourne, attendees will come to understand why eating plant-based is not only easy but fabulously delicious and better for the planet.

All Fancy Plants snacks are plant-based and packed with added positive nutrition such as calcium and prebiotic fibre that helps good bacteria in your digestive system flourish. Those who visit the dessert van will be able to enjoy delicious Fancy Plants snacks that include:

  • Silky Pot – a smooth as silk and seriously delicious Chocolate pudding
  • Rice Pud – a plant-based twist on an old fave, rice pudding
  • Chia Pod – chocolate or vanilla café style chia pudding on the go

Plant-based pioneer and Founder of Fancy Plants John Foss said, “Being a brand that cares about the environment, we decided to team up with The Tree Project to give Australians a chance to lower their carbon footprint by planting trees on their behalf. We firmly believe that living sustainably should be fun, and that is why we’re launching this partnership in conjunction with our ‘Plants for the Planet’ tour to allow people to give back to the planet in a delicious and fun way.”

In addition to Fancy Plants snacks, the first 100 people at each location will also be treated to an exclusive Fancy Plants’ ‘Plants for the Planet’ goodie bag packed with eco-conscious products, including Da-sh, a sparkling water brand that helps reduce food waste, vegan skincare from natural beauty brand Edible Beauty, veggie seeds from Little Veggie Patch and pot plants from Melbourne’s hippest plant warehouse, Botanicah.*

Big names who passionately care about delicious desserts and the planet, including Love Island celebrity Tina Provis and beauty icon x mental health activist Ash Paraskevas have already RSVP’d to the Fancy Plants’ tour.
