Sparkle, colour and shimmer took over Centennial Park on Sun 23 August, with a sell-out crowd of more than 17,000 being the first to experience the all new Shine Tour at The Color Run.
The impressive crowd figure adds to more than 60,000 people who have participated in one of The Color Run events in Sydney over the past 12 months, including the first ever The Color Run Night at The Domain in June.
Along with the incredible colour throws the unique event is famous for, families and friends were the first in Australia to experience the brand new Sparkle Zone that covered all participants in shimmer fun.
The Color Run National Race Director, Woody Sedgman said the event was a huge success, with demand continuing to grow.
“We’re thrilled thousands came out to experience our new and exciting Shine Tour at The Color Run today, our biggest turn out so far in Australia in 2015.”
“This is our fourth Sydney event in the past 12 months and we’re so proud that we’ve managed to again spread happiness to more than 60,000 people in New South Wales alone.”
The Color Run is an all ages event that encourages participants of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels to have fun and celebrate.
The event is strictly alcohol and drug free and is all about promoting happiness, healthiness and individuality while getting colourful.
