Since we can barely leave our homes to go to a cafe, there is no better time to celebrate the launch of Allpress’ first ever pods – the Specialty Espresso Coffee Capsules – offering Aussies a new way to enjoy coffee at home.
Add egg to your coffee
Egg… in coffee? You heard right. The Vietnamese Egg Coffee is a truly delectable way to enjoy your brew. For two serves, simply whisk one egg yolk and 4 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk until thick and voluminous. Add to the top of your shot of coffee and enjoy the indulgent sweetness.
It may not be unheard of but this is a much more exciting way to indulge in the classic affogato pick-me-up. Add the coffee and a shot of Irish cream to a scoop of luxurious vanilla ice cream. This contains all the world’s best vices in one glass – a necessity when you’re stuck at home!
Espresso with lemon
It can be difficult to wake up some mornings; all you want to do is snooze the alarm. If you’re really into a strong, punchy brew, take a shot of espresso and a squeeze of lemon – it’ll be sure to wake you up and get the digestive system going.
Tim Tam Slam It
If you’re feeling particularly playful and needing any excuse not to ‘adult’, take the much-loved Aussie biscuit, two small bites of opposite diagonal corners, and sip your coffee through each corner. Chocolatey, coffee-ey, it’s really a match made in heaven and definitely trumps the OG viral Tim Tam and milk combo.
Spice it up with cinnamon
It’s still winter for another month. In fact, it’s really not getting warm for a while. Savour the cosy months by sprinkling a dash of cinnamon in your brew. Topped with frothy milk and sugar, this is an easy way to stay caffeinated and minimize your hatred of winter.
Don’t you love a Pumpkin Spice a Latte
Get cozy with a pumpkin spice latte, perfect for cold autumn and winter nights. With ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin flavours, it’s a real treat. All you need is pumpkin puree, pinches of ground cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Hot milk and a shot of coffee and sprinkle cinnamon over the froth.
Words cannot espresso how much you mean to me
The classic coffee cocktail. An easy recipe uses freshly brewed espresso, a dash of coffee liqueur and vodka, and simple sugar syrup. In the base of a cocktail shaker, add 1 part each of the spirits, and fresh Espresso. Add ice and shake until frothy, strain into a martini glass.
A Dalgona coffee that brings the grin
An easy whipped coffee recipe that is simple enough to make at home. This frothy drink might just be your new favourite caffeine kick. Whisk the coffee, sugar and 3 tbsp boiling water in a bowl for approximately 5 mins until the mixture is thick and fluffy with stiff peaks. Add the whipped coffee on top of your shot of coffee (add extra milk if desired).
