Corporate Fighter is a sporting company that specialises in the running of corporate boxing events in Sydney. A charity fight night to be held at the Hyatt Regency Sydney on 2nd December 2017.
Some may know Sarah Hatch as a history teacher or head softball coach at St Catherine’s School. Where she teaches stage 6 ancient history, specialising in Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. Junior Stage 4 History, Elective History and Stage 5 Mandatory History.
Known for her passion for helping others, at St Catherine’s School, Sarah is also the Coordinator of Service Education, running six international trips to work with charities in Nepal. Encouraging the students to do volunteer work and collect goods for charities.
At a recent interview, I asked Sarah why she joined the Corporate Fighter program and what it means to her to be a part of this charity fight. Sarah explained: “I joined so that I could set a good example to my students of determination and perseverance to achieve any goal you set your mind to”.
Corporate fight centre selects the charity, and this year they chose Team Rubicon. Sarah’s passionate to support this as they support returned veterans, and having to be a history teacher for over ten years, Sarah is very grateful to the soldiers that have, and continue to risk their lives for our freedom.What is it about boxing you were interested in?
I am interested in boxing because it is a very technical skill that involves education, which I am passionate about, continued practice to achieve a goal and it is a great deal more fun than running on a treadmill.
What is your message to other young women who want to follow in your path?
I would encourage other people, in particular, young women to take up a sport such as boxing, which has long been considered a male sport. Women can do anything. I would encourage women to pursue any challenge or sport they set their desire to as engagement in what you love, leads to positive emotions, and overall a better well-being. Doing this, whilst raising money for a good cause is also very uplifting. I try to give back as much as I can.
The events will consist of 8-10 individual bouts of 3 × 2 minute rounds. All bouts are run in accordance with NSWABL rules, regulations and scoring and are fought to decision. Headgear and gloves are supplied on the night.
After 12 weeks of hard training (mentions Sarah), Fight Night will be one of the best nights of your life and will be thoroughly enjoyed by hundreds of friends, family and work colleagues.
The evening will include
* Two course meal for seated guests, including beer & wine package
* Fully licensed bar
* MC, DJ, dancers & ring girls
* Event program with detailed boxer profiles
* Personalised entrance music for each boxer
* Pre & post-fight boxer interviews
* Charity auction & raffle
* Professional photographer
* Professional filming of the event
* USB of the event for each boxer
So how can you help? If you enjoy a good fight, why not join us for the evening and show your support to Sarah.
