Calling all burger connoisseurs

Jalapeno Burger a National Burger Day

It’s probably already marked in your diary, but just in case it isn’t – Saturday 28 May is National Burger Day and the Bavarian Bier Café, Eagle Street Pier has some serious burger action on the menu.

What makes a great burger? Is it simply slap on the meat into a sliced piece of bread, and stick it in our mouths. Or is it all about the oozing of the cheese and topped with crisp streaky bacon, sandwiched between a lightly-toasted seeded brioche bun, with a generous slap of mayonnaise and some iceberg lettuce leaves for the tickle.

Hendl Fried Chicken Burger

Hendl Fried Chicken Burger

With six different burgers to try, decisions on the day are bound to be difficult. Whether it’s a classic cheeseburger like The Schulz, or The Hendl, a brioche bun filled with crispy fried chicken, the Bavarian Bier Café has plenty of options to sink your teeth into on this special occasion.

These haus-made burgers are best washed down with one of the Crafty Bavarian Brewing Co.’s craft beers, so ask the staff for the perfect pairing. Grab a few of your mates and make a day of it, it would be rude not to!
