Part of a unique interactive experience, The Cooking School had, what it seemed to be a pop-up glasshouse in Castle Towers. A venue that is passionate about fresh food and diverse shopping culture.
To celebrate all things delicious and autumn, Castle Towers has a range of fun activities to be apart of. I joined the kitchen to try out some new cocktail recipes. There are other programs available, cooking demonstrations for kids and adults.
With a focus on fresh native ingredients, healthy drinking and having fun, it was a great opportunity to share in their passion for mixology adventure.
Under the watchful eye of Captain Chris from Trolleyd, we take flight to embracing the qualities of sustainability, native Australia, foraged and local organic produce. With a passion for mixology, classic vibes, I knew this was going to be a fun class.
The Laughing Margarita
45ml tequila infused Peruvian peppercorns sourced from the streets of Sydney with damiana mixed with 15ml roof top honey from the Urban Bee Keepers
20ml freshly squeezed lime juice
Topped with a larger foam topping, made with mead from Bee Mead and soy lecithin.

Tea Blending & Appreciation Workshop
For centuries, tea blending has been considered an art form. In this class you will learn about nutritional properties and how to balance flavours. You will then put your newly acquired skills into practice and craft your own unique blend, which will be hand packaged for you to take home.

Kids in the Kitchen Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls
Fresh, tasty and healthy, these Vietnamese rice paper rolls are the perfect snack or lunchbox treat. In this class, kids will learn to select the correct ingredients and put together a rice paper roll, which they can enjoy eating.
