Sleepwear for the worldly woman – pjME

Melbourne sisters and designer duo have returned home from studying fashion in New York to launch a cosmopolitan brand called pjMe. Veena Raja and Mithra Firestone have put on hold their high-profile careers as a lawyer and engineer to pursue a fashion design dream.

Together they’ve crafted a sleepwear collection that oozes their own personalities, through vibrant colours and sophisticated original prints. It echoes their vision ofbringing a sense of elegance and comfort to the sleepwear world.

“It’s non-traditional sleepwear that is especially suited to female travellers who need stylish sleepwear when on holiday or a business trip” Veena says.

The label idea began when the sisters travelled the worldand experienced the need for versatile night garments that could be worn comfortably around friends or outside the bedroom.

“Our aim was to compliment different skin tones and bodyshapes, so that women all over the world would feel confident and stylish wearing our sleepwear,” Mithra explains.

The first collection provides a variety of styles throughstructured sleepshirts, asymmetrical nighties, silk robes and cotton tops with matching short sets. The range is not only practical but chic, using high quality fabrics that are light and breathable in 100% natural fibers of cotton or silk.

The duo share a love of travel, adventure and fashion, and are best known for their contagious laughter. They look forward to launching their label in Australia and internationally.
